Concept
Designed a typographic-led event poster that communicates a multi-day film program with clear hierarchy and structured grid alignment
The headline typography for "ART" and "DESIGN" uses two different typefaces, inspired by the poster design of Graphic Means: A History of Graphic Design Production (2017), one of the films featured in the screening program
The word "AND" is set upside down within "DESIGN," referencing the iconic design language of Paula Scher — another artist featured in the program — as a direct homage within the layout itself
Scope
Delivered a single, final poster design that prioritizes strong contrast and legibility to ensure clear readability in public spaces
Process
The initial version used a horizontal headline treatment for "ART & DESIGN"
Later versions shifted to a vertical headline orientation for stronger visual impact and a more dynamic read
The final three iterations were refined through experimentation with the placement of the 2026 event date, colour variations, and reading order
